Are you interested in exploring books with old and new friends? Newcomers and Neighbors are always welcome to any meeting. We meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 11:30 am from September through June (except December). Do join our fun and interesting discussions.
BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP (mystery)
If you fancy yourself an amateur detective; enjoy putting clues together and figuring out "Whodunit", join us in reading exciting mystery novels and spine chilling thrillers each month. It’s lots of fun, and you don’t need to be an expert. Just get together with us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1pm to share book talk.
BRIDGE
LADIES DAYTIME WEDNESDAYS
If you enjoy playing Duplicate Bridge, we have 3 tables of Duplicate Bridge weekly from 12:30 - 4:00 pm. Presently all groups are full, but we welcome substitutes.
LADIES DAYTIME THURSDAYS
On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursdays, we offer 2 tables of Duplicate Bridge at individuals' homes from 12:30 - 4:00 pm. All groups welcome substitutes currently.
COUPLES EVENING
Couples Party Bridge Friday: On the 3rd Friday of each month we meet at 7:00 pm at a member''s home. The format is party scoring, and players rotate individually after each round of four hands. New couples are welcome to join our friendly, casual group!
Couples Duplicate Bridge Saturday: On the 1st Saturday of the month, we meet at 7:00 pm at a member's home, starting with dessert and coffee. The group consists of players who come with a partner to play bridge. Duplicate adds an interesting dimension to the game as everyone plays the same hands. We would love to see some new faces!
Canasta
Canasta is a card game in the rummy family of games that has grown in popularity. Our group meets once a month and welcomes both beginner and experienced players.
day trips
Join us for enjoyable explorations in the area! Recent Day Trips have included the following: visits to New York City and Philadelphia museums (Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, Museum of the Moving Image, the Franklin Institute), walking tours -- both culinary (Hoboken) and historic (Newark Ironbound, Brooklyn’s Greenwood Cemetery), gardens (Brooklyn Botanical, Longwood), a rehearsal of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, cooking schools, the Philadelphia Flower Show, a cruise around Manhattan, and shopping in multiple forms (QVC, Rice’s Market, Arthur Avenue). Day Trips are usually offered monthly and various forms of transportation are used – and they are always fun and interesting!

Join us for an evening of International Dining Around! Approximately every other month, we dine at local BYOB restaurants which serve ethnic cuisine. We welcome restaurant suggestions and members to join us on this culinary discovery!
mahjong
Mahjong is a fun, but challenging game played with tiles. NNSH welcomes both beginner and experienced players!
pickleball (advanced beginner/intermediate)
This group meets once a week, weather permitting. New members are always welcome.
taste and talk
Taste & Talk is a group about food! We meet at restaurants or member homes to share new food experiences. New members are always welcome. We hope you can join us soon for delicious discoveries!
wine tasting
Our wonderful NNSH wine tasting group meets the second Friday of each month (except July, and August), with the members of the group taking turns as hosts. Join us in tasting excellent wines in fun company! Cheers!!
